Before you invite everyone
- Big Walk is built for 2–12 online players; the official FAQ does not describe a proper solo mode.
- Choose a reliable host. The host owns the world save, so that person should be available for the next session.
- There is no public matchmaking. Arrange the group first and share the join code privately.
Use the game’s communication rules
Proximity voice is part of the design: voices fade with distance, react to walls and corridors, and can travel through walkie-talkies. Agree on a regroup landmark before anyone wanders away. Text chat is available, but visual gestures and tools are also part of the intended play.
A low-spoiler first route
- Complete the opening co-op activities as a group instead of splitting immediately.
- Keep physical puzzle rewards together and remember where dropped tools were left.
- Treat the Red Tower and Map Room as the useful early navigation goal.
- Open only the next hint on a puzzle page; save the full solution for when the group is genuinely stuck.
