Proximity voice is a game mechanic
Voices fade over distance, echo through corridors, become muffled through walls and crackle through walkie-talkies. That behavior is intentional, not automatically a microphone fault.
Choose the right channel
- Stay close for normal conversation.
- Carry walkie-talkies when puzzle roles separate over distance.
- Use text chat when voice is unavailable or inappropriate.
- Use pointing, waving, laser pointers and other in-game tools when speech is blocked by a puzzle.
Keep the puzzle readable
Assign one speaker to give directions when a large group becomes noisy. If the group uses an external voice app, understand that it bypasses distance and wall effects that House House treats as part of the design.
